DS3231 Precision clock module
DS3231 Low-cost, high-precision I2C Real-Time Clock (RTC) TCXO with integrated (TCXO) and crystals. The device incorporates a battery input and maintains accurate timekeeping when main power supply is disconnected . Integrated Crystal improves long-term accuracy of the device and reduces the number of components of the production line. DS3231 RTC saves seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. It provides two calendar alarm clock and can be set and a square wave output can be set.
A precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit monitors VCC state, detects power failures, provide a reset output, and to automatically switch to the backup supply when necessary. The device integrates an extremely accurate digital temperature sensor. Through I2C, Interface can be accessed. Accuracy of the temperature sensor is ± 3 ° C. The control circuit can be realized on-chip automatic power to detect and manage the main power supply and backup power (That low-voltage battery) switching between the power supply. If the main power fails, the device can continue to provide accurate timing and temperature performance is not affected . When the main power re-power or voltage value returns to within the permissible range , the on-chip reset function can be used to restart the system microprocessor.
