whiskies (while the legal limit is 3 years and older), giving the whisky a bolder, more complex flavour than other blends and helping to create its wonderfully smooth, rich character.
Bannermans is made using a very slow distillation process, ensuring as much copper contact as possible, which creates beautifully fruity flavours.
The rich, smooth character is also a result of maturation using a higher proportion of Spanish sherry casks, balanced with ex-bourbon casks.
Bannermans is an ancient Scottish name: the ‘banner man’ was the King’s standard bearer, chosen for his strength and boldness, who had the honour of carrying his flag into war.
