Application of test ointment
When determining the liquid level of the oil in the oil tank, it is necessary to measure the oil height and the water height by using a dipstick and a water gauge respectively. When measuring oil oil, especially when measuring light fuel oil, the light fuel oil volatilizes quickly and is prone to "crawling". The so-called "crawling" refers to the oil level in the container on the dipstick. The phenomenon in which the liquid mark is affected by the capillary action, or the continuous movement of the liquid film produced when the dipstick is lifted from the container. Test paste should be used when it is suspected that the liquid level “crawl” affects the readings obtained, and that the liquid level or “liquid mark” is always irregular in outline.
How to use the test ointment
Apply a thin layer of test paste to the cleaned dipstick and place it in a clear glass jar filled with oil for a certain period of time to allow the test paste to react chemically with the oil. Observe whether there is a change in the portion coated with the test ointment.
Test water paste: It is a creamy substance that reacts with water and does not react with oil. When measuring the water level at the bottom of the solution, apply it to the water gauge, and the color of the water immersion changes, so that the position of the water surface on the water gauge can be clearly displayed. The test water paste can be used with the dipstick and can quickly and accurately detect whether the oil contains water in the tank. It is also suitable for all petroleum products, diesel, kerosene, ethanol fuel and various mixed fuels, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, Ammonia, soap, salt and chloride water content measurements. Even under extreme temperature conditions, the color change of the paste shows a clear detection effect.
