Since the early days of Black & White, two Scottish terriers (Black & White) have become iconic symbols of the brand . Black and White founder, James Buchanan, an ardent dog lover, supposedly got the idea for the iconic symbol on his way back from a dog show.
The whiskies are matured in casks that started life as Bourbon barrels or Spanish sherry butts and have been previously used to mature Scotch. This previous use ensures that the casks gently mature the malts and grains and give them a spicy, vanilla note without imparting the powerful wood derived flavours.
FLAVOURS: Black and White is smooth, light, fresh and spicy with smoky hints. It is pale gold in colour with sweet aromas of oak, biscuits with notes of sharp grain alcohol, and a touch of peat. A short finish with notes of vanilla, honey and oak.
