It is a pale yellow clear liquid; it kills fleas that may cause flea allergy dermatitis and ticks for up to 30 days. It contains the #1 vet-recommended active ingredient fipronil. It also kills ticks that may transmit Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis, babesiosis, anaplasmosis, and haemobartonellosis. Aids in the control of sarcoptic mange in dogs and cats.
Administration, Precaution and Dosage
External use only.
This product is for dogs and cats to kill fleas and ticks for up to 30 days. Do not use it on any other animals. Do not bathe or shampoo the pet 48 hours prior to applying TD Flea & Tick Destroyer Spray. When applying the product wear rubber gloves. Hold the bottle in any position. Ruffle the pet’s hair with one gloved hand while applying the spray to the pets back, sides, abdomen, legs, shoulders and neck. For the neck and eye area, spray on the gloved hand and rub gently into the pet’s hair. Do not spray to pet eyes and avoid amount of top water wash. Repeat the application every 3 days and comb the animal’s coat thoroughly before each new application. Allow 24 hours after treatment for TD Flea & Tick Destroyer Spray dry to prevent pets from licking the product off another. Allow drying naturally, do not towel dry.
USE DURING PREGNANCY, LACTATION OR LAY
Laboratory studies did not reveal any teratogenic effect of fipronil in the rat and rabbit.
Fipronil is very well tolerated by puppies following treatment of the lactating dog.
Use only in accordance with the risk/benefit assessment by the veterinarian
On puppies, 7.5mg(3ml)/kg, spray the entire body of the pet, interval three weeks, for three consecutive times; on adult, 15mg(6ml)/kg, spray the entire body of the pet, interval one week, for two consecutive times. Each ml contains Fipronil 2.5mg.
