PO 405 F1 Hybrid Tomato variety can be cultivated both in an open field and in the greenhouse. They are a mid-early maturing variety. After various trials carried out in Kano, Nigeria, they were bred to be resistant against the following plant diseases: Verticillium wilt, Late blight, Tomato spotted wilt and Fusarum wilt. The fruits are nice and fleshy, and delightfully sweet with tart undertones. The vines produce heavy yields of medium-sized, bright-red fruit and perform admirably well in hot weather. The fruits are sweet with just enough bite to let your taste buds know that this, indeed, is a classic tomato. Although it prefers more heat and humidity than less (it was originally bred as a greenhouse tomato)
