Heart: Very voluminous and heavy Colour: Shining green Average weight: between 600 to 700 gr Leaves: Blistered and well divided Precocity: 50 days after transplanting (depending on climate conditions and crop location) Resistance: Flowering How to Grow Eden Lettuce Lettuce is an easy-to-grow annual vegetable. Considered a spring and fall crop, lettuce thrives when temperatures are between 60 to 70 degrees F. Many varieties reach maturity in as little as 30 days, and some can even be harvested much earlier as microgreens. From your garden beds to patio containers, these simple steps will give you a bountiful supply of crisp salad greens throughout multiple seasons. When to Plant Lettuce Lettuce loves cool weather. You can begin planting leaf, romaine and butterhead lettuce as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Depending on the variety, lettuce germinates in temperatures between 40 to 85 degrees F. If you plant lettuce in successive plantings, with 10 to 14 days in between, you & rsquo;ll have an extended harvest. To prevent summer bolt, stop planting one month before warm summer temperatures start. Begin planting fall lettuce in late summer so it reaches maturity when the fall air is cool. Head lettuce is usually started indoors or in a cold frame and transplanted in the spring after the last frost date. Growing lettuce from seedlings for early spring transplant is a good way to get a head start on the growing season. Where to Plant Lettuce The ideal lettuce growing location for spring and fall is in a spot that receives full sun. If you plan on growing lettuce during the summer or in warm planting zones, partial shade can provide protection from the heat. Growing lettuce from seed in late summer may require generous artificial shade to help cool the soil for germination. Once days become cooler, the shade can be removed to give plenty of sunlight to young lettuce plants. Lettuce grows best in loose, cool soil with good drainage. The addition of organic materials, such as compost or manure, will increase drainage, provide essential nutrients and improve your lettuce growing conditions. If you & rsquo;ve had trouble with lettuce growth, consider purchasing a soil test kit. Lettuce is sensitive to low pH. The addition of lime can help bring the pH to at least 6.0. How to Plant Lettuce It does not take much work to grow lettuce from seeds. Lettuce seeds are often quite small and only require a planting depth of & frac14; to & frac12; inch deep. Growing lettuce in rows gives your garden a traditional look. Consider alternating rows of green and red lettuce for a whimsical touch. How far apart to plant lettuce depends on the type of lettuce you & rsquo;re planting. When sowing seeds directly into the soil, you should plant approximately 10 seeds per foot. Space your rows 12 to 18 inches apart. Thin leaf lettuce seedlings to 4 inches apart. Romaine and butterhead lettuce seedlings require 6 to 8 inches between each plant. Removed seedlings can be transplanted or eaten as delicious, tender microgreens. Head lettuce is usually grown from seeds started indoors during warm weather for a fall garden. Transplant head lettuce in rows 12 to 18 inches apart with 10 to 12 inches between each plant. Water Requirements for Lettuce You do not need lettuce to develop deep roots. In fact, you want to encourage leaf growth over rooting. Lettuce watering should be light, frequent, and consistent. The goal is to simply keep the soil moist. Avoid watering too often & ndash; overwatering leads to root rot, disease, and stunted grow. Quantity: 10g

Cobra 26 F1 tomatoes are determinate plants which are tall, require staking and produce tomatoes over a longer period of time. Instead of having one large harvest at once, they bear over a period of months. These are perfect for home gardeners who want their harvest spread out, or greenhouse growers that want tall plants to best use their space. Planting: Tomatoes are tender plants and are very susceptible to frost damage. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date in your area. Sow 2-3 seeds in 1 & times;1 inch cells and thin to 1 plant after germination. Cover seed with 1 & frasl;4 inches soil and provide a constant soil temperature of 21-26 degrees C. Once plants are up, a growing light is necessary or seedlings will become tall and spindly. After plants develop 1-2 sets of true leaves, transplant into 3 inches jiffy pots. Use a water soluble fertilizer every two weeks starting at half strength and increasing to full strength over 6 weeks. Seedlings benefit from waterings with Epsom salts, use 1 Tbsp of Epsom salts per gallon. Transplant after all danger of frost has passed. When transplanting, space 24-36 inches apart with rows at least 36-48 inches apart. Growing: Full sun location, preferably with good air circulation. Soil pH of 6.0-6.5. Technisem Hybrid Hot Pepper Seed ( Antillais ) - 5g
Antillais Hybrid hot Pepper was specially bred for export productions, with big size and high quality fruits. The plant is voluminous and hardy with very vigorous features. Antillais Hybrid Hot Pepper are very hot, have medium-thick flesh, and turn from light green, to orange, to red when mature. The plant has green stems, green leaves, and white flowers. Excellent for pickling, and making salsa, hot sauce, and seasoning spice powder. How to Grow Antillais Hybrid Hot Pepper First, if you live in a warm area, like in the south, you can start your seeds directly into your garden. This is called the & ldquo;direct-sow & rdquo; method. Don & rsquo;t live in a warm or hot climate but maybe you have a greenhouse? This will work beautifully for starting your seeds outdoors using natural light and the warmth from the sun. Place your seed tray in a sunny and warm windowsill or under grow lights or full spectrum utility lights. Your seedlings will need AT LEAST 6 hours of sunlight or leave artificial light on them for up to 18 hours a day. Remember that pepper plants originated in tropical, warm climates. Soak your seeds overnight in warm water to help them germinate faster. Plant your seeds no more than 1/4 of an inch deep. Timing is everything and they should be started approximately 6-10 weeks before your last average frost date. Turn up the heat. Your house may not be hot enough for the seeds to germinate. Ideal temperature is 75-85 degrees. If this is the case, try using heat mats or start them on top of the refrigerator, or in the warmest spot in your home. Once they sprout you can move them to the sunny location or under lights to finish growing. Tips for Successful Growth Peppers love full sun, but don & rsquo;t plant peppers where tomatoes or eggplants grew previously, because all three are members of the nightshade family and are subject to similar diseases. Keep your soil moist and about 75 & deg;F. They need at least 5 hours of sunlight a day. Once the seedlings are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin them by leaving only the strongest plant. When your pepper plant seedlings are 4 to 6 inches tall, harden them off for about a week. To avoid shocking the plants, make sure the soil temperature is at least 60 & deg;F before moving them outside; this usually occurs 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. How to Harvest Antillais Hybrid Hot Pepper Harvest peppers during mild and dry weather by cutting them from the stem. Make sure you wear gloves if you are sensitive to the heat. Most hot peppers will be mature and ready to eat in 70 to 85 days, but some can take as long as 150 days, depending on when you transplanted them. They & rsquo;re mature when they are firm, good sized, and have thick walls. Handle carefully, because nicks and bruises can cause them to rot faster. Quantity: 5g
