Automatic. An automatic door closer, more often called a "door opener", opens the door itself, typically under the control of a push button, motion detecctor or other device, and then closes it as well, employing a motion or proximity detector to determine when it is safe to close the door
There are three different types of door closers: Regular Arm, Parallel Arm and Top Jamb Mount. Each of these function in a similar way, but they are installed on different sides of the door.
Check the width and height of the door and door frame as heavier doors will require a closer with a larger power size and if you have a narrow door frame you may need to think about fitting a concealed door closer or look at the position the door closer is fitted in for example you may need it to be transom mounted
Function after you've removed the cover locate the adjustment screws. Take your allen wrench. And make your adjustment keep in mind little goes a long way. Start with 1/8 turns
