The moment, the term 'Islam' confronts someone, a world of far-stretching frontiers starts embossing in one's imagination. Islamic culture and civilization took birth about fourteen centuries ago in the lap of the Arabian desert. A piece of land-covered out-and-out by the blanket of ignorance, cruelty and long-harboured grudges and differences with regard to caste, creed and colour-gave birth to an apostle of mercy and kindness, love and affection, at a time, when the intensity of inhuman acts - stone melting and heart-rending barbarity - reached its peak. A nation which was always at dagg, ers drawn over petty matters, and which knew not how to bow out of pride and ignorance, is now among the loftiest and noblest people in the world - the Arabs. This overall transformation from enmity to brotherhood, cruelty to kindness and pride to passionate submission is one of those live miracles of the last Messenger and Prophet of the Almighty, Hadrat Muhammad (Pbuh) which has left whole of the world stunned. Presently, a world in itself, Islamic world comprises more than fifty countries.Islam is not only a religion but also a complete code of conduct. As per the Quranic injunctions, Islam is the only religion which Allah, the Almighty, gifted to mankind to enable people to live a successful life, both here and hereafter. Different Prophets and Messengers (Pbut) brought Islam for their respective people as per their requirements, keeping pace with evolving growth and progress of human civilization. Thus, passing from the earliest generation of man onto the times of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh), Islam reached the mark of completion and consummation, having the best from all its preceding versions. That's why it's incumbent upon every Muslim that he should respect, along with Islam, all earlier religions, which came before Islam and feel the same reverence in his heart for all the Prophets, regardless, when and where they came on the scene.
