Glenfiddich 26 Year Old is a special release aged in American oak bourbon casks. The nose displays hints of passion fruit and vanilla with floral overtones. The palate is soft with strong flavours of licorice, vanilla, toffee, and cooked spices.
In 1886, William Grant, with the help of his nine children and a single stone mason, began construction of the Glenfiddich Distillery, situated in the Speyside region of Scotland. After a year of hard labor, the first drop of whiskey fell from the distillery’s copper-pot stills on Christmas Day 1887. Today, Grant’s passion, determination, and pioneering spirit continue to guide Glenfiddich Distillery, which is stewarded by the fifth generation of the Grant family.
Glenfiddich Excellence 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was created to honour the distillery’s long, continuous line of family ownership since its founding by William Grant in 1887. Glenfiddich Age of Discovery is matured for over a quarter-century exclusively in American Oak, ex-bourbon casks straight from Kentucky. The “Quercus Alba” wood used in these casks imparts subtle spices and vanilla notes throughout the aging process and contributes to an overall soft and delicate whiskey.
