Brand new 1/43 scale diecast model of German Late Production Sd. Kfz. 181 PzKpfw VI Tiger I Ausf. E Heavy Tank #312 "Schwere Panzerabteilung 505, Poland, 1944" die cast model by AFVs of WWII. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. True-to-scale detail. Officially licensed product. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-7.5, W-3, H-3.25 inches. The German Waffenamt issued an order to design the VK4501(H) (as the PzKpfw VI Ausf. E was then known) in May 1941, just one month prior to the commencement of Operation Barbarossa. Interestingly, Henschel und Sohn of Kassel was charged with building the heavily armored chassis while Krupp, by far the largest munitionwerks in Germany, was given the task of developing the turret. The PzKpfw VI Ausfuhrung E (type E) was one of the first German tanks to feature a torsion bar with eight interleaved wheels, which was designed to support the weight of the mammoth 57-ton tank. The Ausf. E mounted a huge 8.8cm KwK36 L/56 cannon and featured two MG34 machine guns for close support against enemy infantry. By war's end, 1,354 vehicles had been produced, some rolling off the Wegmann assembly line.

German Sd. Kfz. 184 Elefant Heavy Tank Destroyer "Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653 Ukraine 1944" 1/43 Diecast Model by AFVs of WWII
Brand new 1/43 scale diecast model of German Sd. Kfz. 184 Elefant Heavy Tank Destroyer "Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653, Ukraine, 1944" die cast model by AFVs of WWII. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. True-to-scale detail. Officially licensed product. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-7.5, W-2.75, H-2.75 inches. The Elefant (Elephant) stemmed from the Porsche design for the PzKpfw VI Tiger. Henschel was awarded the contract for the new tank, but it was decided to use the Porsche design as a tank destroyer. Hitler demanded that the new vehicle be ready for the 1943 offensive on the Russian front, so development was rather hurried. & nbsp;As a result, many broke down to their first action at the Battle of Kursk, and the lack of proper armor and ponderous mobility made them easy targets for Soviet gunners in the battle. In addition, the lack of machine guns meant that there was no defense against Soviet troops disabling them with explosive charges in close-quarter combat. The survivors were withdrawn to Italy, where unreliability and lack of spares ensured their continued ineffectiveness.

Germany StuG.III Ausf.G Early Production Tank with Schurzen #201 "StuG Brigade 242 Italy" (1943) "NEO Dragon Armor" Series 1/72 Plastic Model by Dragon Models
Brand new 1/72 scale plastic model of Germany StuG.III Ausf.G Early Production Tank with Schurzen #201 "StuG Brigade 242, Italy" (1943) "NEO Dragon Armor" Series plastic model by Dragon Models. Limited edition. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. True-to-scale detail. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. High-quality markings include a protective display case to keep the model in pristine condition. It is a highly detailed and accurate model, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of military history. HISTORY ASPECTS:The Sturmgesch & uuml;tz III (StuG III) Ausf. G, an early production model, became a pivotal asset for German forces during World War II. Initially designed as an infantry support vehicle, the StuG III evolved into one of the Wehrmacht & rsquo;s primary tank destroyers. The Ausf. G, introduced in late 1942, was equipped with the powerful 75mm StuK 40 L/48 gun and additional armor plating. The addition of Sch & uuml;rzen side skirts enhanced its ability to deflect anti-tank rounds and protect against infantry attacks, a necessity on the increasingly complex battlefields in Europe. StuG units, like StuG Brigade 242, were deployed extensively to reinforce German lines against growing Allied pressure. In 1943, StuG Brigade 242 was deployed to Italy, where it participated in the challenging Italian Campaign. The rugged and mountainous terrain made conventional tank operations difficult, but the StuG III & rsquo;s low profile and versatile firepower allowed it to perform effectively as both a tank destroyer and an infantry support weapon. StuG Brigade 242 operated in areas where Allied forces, particularly British and American troops, were pushing through Italian territory. The StuG III Ausf. G & rsquo;s 75mm gun proved effective against the Allied Sherman and Churchill tanks, allowing the German forces to delay enemy advances and inflict substantial damage.Throughout the Italian Campaign, StuG Brigade 242 & rsquo;s StuG III Ausf. Gs were known for their defensive resilience. Positioned in ambushes or as part of defensive lines, these vehicles capitalized on their low silhouette to remain concealed until the optimal moment to strike. Their Sch & uuml;rzen armor skirts provided essential protection against Allied anti-tank rifles and shaped charges, allowing them to hold positions longer and deliver a high level of support to Wehrmacht infantry units. Although Allied air superiority and more advanced armored vehicles eventually made operations increasingly perilous, StuG Brigade 242 & rsquo;s StuGs were instrumental in several defensive actions, becoming symbols of German armored ingenuity and tenacity. This finely detailed 1:72 scale model captures the essence of this formidable vehicle. With authentic markings and historically accurate features, this replica offers enthusiasts a glimpse into the design and impact of one of WWII & rsquo;s most versatile and effective armored vehicles, perfect for any collection honoring World War II military history.

A was the first production variant of the iconic German assault gun, developed in response to the Wehrmacht's need for a mobile, armored support vehicle capable of providing direct artillery fire for infantry units. Introduced in 1940, the StuG III Ausf. A was equipped with a short-barreled 7.5 cm StuK 37 L/24 gun, primarily designed to take out fortified enemy positions and bunkers. Built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank, the StuG III retained good mobility and was lightly armored, reflecting its intended role in infantry support rather than direct tank combat. The StuG III Ausf. A saw its first major combat during the Battle of France in May-June 1940. As German forces advanced through Belgium and northern France in their blitzkrieg assault, the StuG III proved highly effective in supporting infantry attacks against heavily fortified positions. Its low profile and powerful cannon allowed it to neutralize bunkers, machine-gun nests, and enemy strongpoints that slowed the German advance. Although its anti-tank capabilities were limited in this early model, the StuG III Ausf. A's versatility and firepower made it a valuable addition to the German army during this critical phase of World War II.During the Battle of France, the StuG III Ausf. A also demonstrated its ability to provide suppressive fire in urban combat scenarios, especially in cities like Dunkirk, where it helped German forces break through French defenses. Despite its relative lack of armor compared to later models, the StuG III Ausf. A held its ground effectively and laid the foundation for future development of the assault gun series. By the end of the campaign, it had proven itself as a vital asset in Germany's mechanized warfare strategy. This 1:72 scale model captures the essence of one of the Wehrmacht & rsquo;s early assault guns in all its historical significance. Its meticulous design and detail make it a perfect addition for collectors and modelers who appreciate the evolution of German armored vehicles and their role in the early years of World War II.

E was an early variant of the highly successful German assault gun series, initially developed to provide infantry support by delivering direct fire against fortified positions. Armed with a short-barreled 7.5 cm StuK 37 L/24 gun, the Ausf. E variant was introduced in late 1941 and featured improved armor and internal modifications over previous versions. While designed primarily for infantry support, the StuG III was soon recognized for its effectiveness in the anti-tank role as well, especially in defensive operations on the Eastern Front.Kampfgruppe Schill, a German battlegroup, utilized StuG III Ausf. E vehicles during operations in Slovakia in 1944. As part of a larger effort to suppress the Slovak National Uprising, a major anti-Nazi resistance movement, Kampfgruppe Schill was involved in intense fighting in the mountainous regions of Slovakia. The StuG III played a critical role in these operations, providing mobile artillery support to German infantry and engaging both partisans and Soviet-backed insurgents. The combination of rugged terrain and fierce resistance made the campaign difficult, but the StuG III & rsquo;s versatility and firepower were key assets in the German effort to maintain control.By 1944, the StuG III Ausf. E was no longer the most advanced German assault gun on the battlefield, but its reliability and effectiveness kept it in service, particularly in secondary theaters and against less mechanized forces. The vehicles in Kampfgruppe Schill were essential for maintaining German defensive lines and dealing with the irregular warfare tactics employed by partisans. Despite their efforts, the tide of war was turning, and German forces in Slovakia were eventually overwhelmed by advancing Soviet troops, leading to the collapse of German control in the region. This 1:72 scale model offers incredible attention to detail and historical accuracy, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of World War II armored vehicles. G was a powerful variation of the StuG III series, equipped with a 10.5 cm leFH 18 howitzer to serve as a dedicated infantry support vehicle. First introduced in 1943, the StuH.42 was developed to provide direct fire support, especially against entrenched positions and infantry, complementing the StuG III & rsquo;s anti-tank role. The vehicle featured the same chassis as the StuG III Ausf. G but was armed with the howitzer to deliver high-explosive rounds. Its design allowed the German Wehrmacht to engage enemy infantry and fortifications more effectively, filling a vital role in combined arms operations.StuH.42 #132 participated in the Ardennes Offensive, also known as the Battle of the Bulge, in December 1944. This German counteroffensive was the last major effort to reverse the Allied advance into Western Europe. During the bitter winter fighting in the dense Ardennes forests, the StuH.42 vehicles played a crucial role in supporting German infantry as they advanced through difficult terrain, often engaging entrenched American positions with high-explosive shells. The heavy firepower of the StuH.42 allowed the Germans to break through initial defensive lines, though the offensive ultimately stalled due to Allied resistance and logistical difficulties.Despite the overall failure of the Ardennes Offensive, the StuH.42 proved valuable in its role. It remained an essential component of German armored forces through the final months of the war, offering versatile firepower in both urban and rural engagements. Its ability to provide close fire support in difficult conditions made it one of the more effective German vehicles during this period, though by late 1944, Germany's overall ability to produce and supply sufficient quantities of these vehicles was waning due to resource shortages. This is a finely detailed replica that captures the unique characteristics of this infantry support vehicle. Perfect for collectors and military history enthusiasts, this 1:72 scale model highlights a critical aspect of German armored tactics during the late stages of World War II.

More than 4,000 vehicles were produced by Cadillac and Massey-Harris from 1943-45. & nbsp; The first vehicles reached Europe in late 1944, where they proved very effective and highly reliable. At the outset of the Korean War, however, American forces equipped with the M24 Chaffees performed poorly against the enemy's T-34/85s, and these US units were soon augmented with M26 Pershings and M46 Pattons, along with M4A3E8 Shermans armed with the long 76mm gun. The Chaffee remained in American service until 1953, at which time it was eventually replaced by the M41 Bulldog.

It is a highly detailed and accurate model, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of military history. HISTORY ASPECTS:The StuG III Ausf. G, produced in May 1943, with Sch & uuml;rzen (armor skirts), was a crucial asset to German armored forces during the Battle of Kursk, one of the largest tank battles in history. The StuG III, originally designed as an infantry support vehicle, had by this point in the war been upgraded with improved anti-tank capabilities. Its low profile, thick frontal armor, and the 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 gun made it a formidable opponent, especially against Soviet T-34s. The Sch & uuml;rzen side skirts, added in 1943, provided additional protection against Soviet anti-tank rifles and shaped-charge weapons, further enhancing the StuG III's battlefield survivability.Assigned to the 3rd SS Panzer Division "Totenkopf," the StuG III Ausf. Gs were deployed during the Battle of Kursk in July 1943, a critical confrontation on the Eastern Front. Gs played a significant role in this effort, providing fire support to infantry and engaging Soviet armor at close and medium ranges. Despite the tactical advantages the StuGs offered, the German forces faced stiff resistance, and the Soviets' effective use of minefields, artillery, and counterattacks blunted the offensive. The battle ended in a Soviet victory, with the German attack halted and their forces eventually forced to retreat. However, the StuG III Ausf. Gs of the "Totenkopf" division demonstrated their durability and effectiveness in both offensive and defensive roles during the battle. They continued to serve on the Eastern Front, adapting to the increasing pressure from the numerically superior Red Army. By the end of 1943, the StuG III had solidified its reputation as one of the most successful and versatile armored vehicles in the German army, largely due to its adaptability and cost-efficiency in comparison to larger tanks.Whether for display or historical appreciation, this 1:72 scale model brings to life the engineering and history of one of World War II's most important armored units. It & rsquo;s a perfect addition for collectors and enthusiasts of Eastern Front military history.
