T-34-85 Tank #314 "USSR 55th Armoured Brigade Germany 1945" 1/43 Diecast Model by AFVs of WWII
Brand new 1/43 scale diecast model of T-34-85 Tank #314 "USSR 55th Armoured Brigade, Germany 1945" die cast model by AFVs of WWII. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. True-to-scale detail. Officially licensed product. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-7.25, W-2.5, H-3.25 inches. The T-34 is a Soviet medium tank introduced in 1940, famously deployed with the Red Army during World War II against Operation Barbarossa. Its 76.2 mm (3 in) tank gun was more powerful than its contemporaries while its 60 degree sloped armour provided good protection against anti-tank weapons. The Christie suspension was inherited from the design of American J. Walter Christie's M1928 tank, versions of which were sold turret-less to the Red Army and documented as "farm tractors", after being rejected by the U.S. Army. & nbsp; The T-34 had a profound effect on the conflict on the Eastern Front in the Second World War, and had a lasting impact on tank design. After the Germans encountered the tank in 1941, German general Paul Ludwig Ewald von Kleist called it "the finest tank in the world" and Heinz Guderian affirmed the T-34's "vast superiority" over German tanks. Alfred Jodl, chief of operations staff of the German armed forces noted in his war diary "the surprise at this new and thus unknown wunder-armament being unleashed against the German assault divisions," although its armour and armament were surpassed later in the war. The T-34 was the mainstay of Soviet armoured forces throughout the war. Its general specifications remained nearly unchanged until early 1944, when it received a firepower upgrade with the introduction of the greatly improved T-34-85 variant. & nbsp; Its production method was continuously refined and rationalized to meet the needs of the Eastern Front, making the T-34 quicker and cheaper to produce. The Soviets ultimately built over 80,000 T-34s of all variants, allowing steadily greater numbers to be fielded despite the loss of tens of thousands in combat against the German Wehrmacht. Replacing many light and medium tanks in Red Army service, it was the most-produced tank of the war, as well as the second most-produced tank of all time (after its successor, the T-54/T-55 series). With 44,900 lost during the war, it also suffered the most tank losses ever. Its development led directly to the T-44, then the T-54 and T-55 series of tanks, which in turn evolved into the later T-62, that form the armoured core of many modern armies. T-34 variants were widely exported after World War II, and as recently as 2010 more than 130 were still in service.

In 1937, No. 72 Squadron at RAF Church Fenton received its complement of Gladiators, marking a significant step forward in fighter capability for the squadron. The Gladiator, with its enclosed cockpit and four .303 Browning machine guns, represented the cutting edge of aviation technology at the time, providing the RAF with an agile and capable aircraft well-suited to the defense of British skies.No. 72 Squadron operated the Gloster Gladiator in the years leading up to World War II, during which time the aircraft participated in various exercises and training operations aimed at refining the tactics and skills necessary for air combat. While the Gladiator's service with 72 Squadron was relatively brief due to rapid advancements in aircraft technology, it played a critical role in the development of RAF fighter strategy and training. The Gladiators of 72 Squadron were eventually replaced by more modern monoplane fighters such as the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, but not before proving their worth in the early stages of World War II.The Gloster Gladiator saw combat in several theaters during the early part of World War II, including the defense of Norway, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. Although quickly outclassed by faster and more heavily armed monoplane fighters, the Gladiator demonstrated remarkable resilience and versatility, earning a reputation for toughness and reliability. Pilots who flew the Gladiator often spoke of its agility and responsive handling, which allowed it to hold its own even in the face of more advanced enemy aircraft. For 72 Squadron, the Gladiator was a stepping stone that helped prepare its pilots for the coming aerial battles that would define the RAF's role in the war. This 1:72 scale model is a beautifully detailed representation of this iconic biplane fighter. G, an early production model, served as one of Nazi Germany & rsquo;s most significant armored vehicles during World War II. Developed initially as an assault gun to provide close infantry support, the StuG III evolved over time into a highly effective tank destroyer. The Ausf. G version, produced from December 1942, was the most widely produced variant, equipped with a powerful 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 gun, better protection, and an enclosed casemate structure. By late 1943, this model was instrumental in countering Allied armor and became one of the most cost-effective tank destroyers in the German arsenal. In November 1943, the StuG III Ausf. G, specifically #233, was part of Panzer-Abteilung 103, attached to the 3rd Panzergrenadier Division. This unit was actively engaged in the Italian Campaign, particularly around Rome. Following the Italian surrender in September 1943, German forces sought to maintain control of key positions in Italy, leading to fierce fighting against the advancing Allies. The 3rd Panzergrenadier Division, with its StuG III units, was tasked with holding the line against British and American forces as they advanced north. The StuG III Ausf. G proved to be an effective asset in the rugged terrain of Italy, using its low profile and heavy firepower to ambush Allied tanks and fortified positions. The battles around Rome in November 1943 saw intense engagements as German forces conducted delaying actions to slow the Allied advance. The StuG III Ausf. G, #233, played a crucial role in defending strategic points, providing both direct fire support to infantry and engaging enemy armor. Despite facing logistical challenges and overwhelming Allied air superiority, the StuG III units were able to inflict significant damage on the advancing forces. Officially licensed product. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-7.75, W-3, H-3.5 inches. The M26 Pershing was a heavy tank/medium tank of the United States Army. The tank was named after General of the Armies John J. Pershing, who led the American Expeditionary Force in Europe in World War I. It was used in the last months of World War II during the Invasion of Germany and extensively during the Korean War. The M26 was intended as a replacement of the M4 Sherman, but a prolonged development period meant that only a small number saw combat in Europe. Based on the criteria of firepower, mobility, and protection, US historian R. P. Hunnicutt ranked the Pershing behind the German Tiger II heavy tank, but ahead of the Tiger I heavy and Panther medium tanks. It was withdrawn in 1951 in favor of its improved derivative, the M46 Patton, which had a more powerful and reliable engine and advanced suspension. The lineage of the M26 continued with the M47 Patton, and was reflected in the new designs of the later M48 Patton and M60 Patton. & nbsp; The T26E3 was the production version of the T26E1 with a number of minor modifications made as the result of field testing. In February 1945, the T26 was fielded in the European Theater, where its performance received early praise from Army Ordnance officials.

High-quality markings include a protective display case to keep the model in pristine condition. It is a highly detailed and accurate model, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of military history. HISTORY ASPECTS:The Sturmgesch & uuml;tz III (StuG III) Ausf. G was a highly influential German assault gun based on the Panzer III chassis, modified to support infantry and provide powerful anti-tank capabilities. The Ausf. G variant, introduced in late 1942, was the final and most produced model of the StuG series, fitted with a 75mm StuK 40 L/48 gun capable of piercing armor with devastating accuracy. By 1943, this particular variant had gained improvements like a simplified superstructure, thicker armor, and the addition of Sch & uuml;rzen side skirts for increased protection against anti-tank weapons and infantry attacks. These modifications made the StuG III Ausf. G a formidable asset on the battlefield, especially in the hands of seasoned crews. In 1943, units equipped with the StuG III Ausf. G, such as Panzer Abteilung 115, saw extensive combat during the Italian Campaign. The rugged terrain of Italy posed unique challenges for armored vehicles, but the StuG III's low profile and enhanced firepower proved advantageous in close-quarter engagements against Allied forces. With Sch & uuml;rzen plates, these vehicles were better protected against shaped charges from handheld anti-tank weapons, allowing them to be more resilient in urban and mountainous environments. Panzer Abteilung 115 and its StuG IIIs played a crucial role in defensive operations, delaying the advance of Allied forces with skillfully executed ambushes and providing fire support to Wehrmacht infantry.Throughout the Italian Campaign, the StuG III Ausf. G gained a reputation as one of the most effective tank destroyers of the German army, with many StuG crews achieving high kill counts against Allied armored forces. Its combination of firepower, armor, and mobility allowed it to hold its ground even against superior numbers. Though eventually outmatched by more advanced Allied tanks, the StuG III Ausf. G remained a staple in German defensive tactics until the end of the war, particularly in theaters like Italy, where it provided essential support to German ground forces amid grueling conditions. This meticulously crafted 1:72 scale model faithfully captures the rugged, battle-worn look of this iconic tank destroyer. Complete with historically accurate detailing from Panzer Abteilung 115 & rsquo;s service in Italy, this replica is an ideal addition for any WWII armor collection, showcasing the power and resilience of Germany & rsquo;s infamous assault gun.

HISTORY ASPECTS:The U.S. 1/4 ton Military Vehicle, often known as the Jeep, became one of the most iconic and versatile vehicles of World War II. Its design was initially developed in the late 1930s to meet the U.S. Army's need for a light reconnaissance and transport vehicle that could traverse rough terrain and carry soldiers or supplies in various combat scenarios. By 1941, after a rigorous selection process, the Jeep was chosen for mass production, with companies like Willys-Overland, Ford, and Chrysler contributing to its production. The Jeep's compact size, rugged durability, and ability to navigate challenging landscapes quickly made it indispensable during the war, especially in the Pacific theater. One of the most famous uses of the Jeep occurred during the 1944-1945 campaign to recapture the Philippine Islands from Japanese forces. General Douglas MacArthur, who had famously pledged to return to the Philippines after being forced to evacuate in 1942, led the Allied forces in the Battle of Leyte in October 1944. The Tank, Infantry, Mk IV (A22) Churchill was a British infantry tank used in the Second World War, best known for its heavy armor, large longitudinal chassis with all-around tracks with multiple bogies, its ability to climb steep slopes, and its use as the basis of many specialist vehicles. It was one of the heaviest Allied tanks of the war. The origins of the Churchill's design lay in the expectation that war in Europe might well be fought in conditions similar to those of the First World War, and thus emphasized the ability to cross difficult ground. The Churchill was hurried into production in order to build up British defenses against a possible German invasion. The first vehicles had flaws that had to be overcome before the Churchill was accepted for wide use. After several Marks (versions) had been built, a better-armored specification, the Mark VII, entered service with the British Army. The improved versions performed well in the later stages of the war. The Churchill was used by British and other Commonwealth forces during the North African, Italian and North-West Europe campaigns. In addition, 344 Churchills were sent as military aid to the Soviet Union during the Second World War and more than 250 saw active service on the Eastern Front.

Officially licensed product. Comes in plastic display showcase. This model does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-6.25, W-1, H-2 inches. Diecast metal and plastic construction for durability and a heavy, realistic feel. It is a highly detailed and accurate model, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of military history. HISTORY ASPECTS: USS Massachusetts (BB-59) is the third of four South Dakota-class fast battleships built for the United States Navy in the late 1930s. The first American battleships designed after the Washington treaty system began to break down in the mid-1930s, they took advantage of an escalator clause that allowed increasing the main battery to 16-inch (406 mm) guns, but refusal to authorize larger battleships kept their displacement close to the Washington limit of 35,000 long tons (36,000 t). A requirement to be armored against the same caliber of guns as they carried, combined with the displacement restriction, resulted in cramped ships, a problem that was exacerbated by wartime modifications that considerably strengthened their anti-aircraft batteries and significantly increased their crews. On completion, Massachusetts was sent to support Operation Torch, the invasion of French North Africa, in November 1942. There, she engaged in an artillery duel with the incomplete French battleship Jean Bart and neutralized her. Massachusetts thereafter transferred to the Pacific War for operations against Japan; she spent the war primarily as an escort for the fast carrier task force to protect the aircraft carriers from surface and air attacks. In this capacity, she took part in the Gilbert and Marshall Islands campaign in 1943 and early 1944 and the Philippines campaign in late 1944 and early 1945. Later in 1945, the ship supported Allied forces during the Battle of Okinawa and thereafter participated in attacks on Japan, including bombarding industrial targets on Honshu in July and August. After the war, Massachusetts returned to the United States and was decommissioned and assigned to the Atlantic Reserve Fleet in 1947. She remained out of service until 1962, when she was stricken from the Naval Vessel Register. Three years later, she was transferred to the Massachusetts Memorial Committee and preserved as a museum ship at Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts. Some material was removed in the 1980s to reactivate the Iowa-class battleships, but the ship otherwise remains in her wartime configuration.

Painted, fitted, non-moving tracks on detailed non-rotating wheels for a detailed and accurate appearance. Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels, and surface details for an authentic representation of the real-life tank. HISTORY ASPECTS: The Soviet Kliment Voroshilov (KV-3) heavy tank was developed during the early years of World War II, with the goal of providing the Soviet Union with a heavily armored and heavily armed tank that could stand up to the German Panzer tanks. The KV-3 featured a heavily armored hull and turret, as well as a powerful 76mm main gun. The KV-3 first saw combat in the winter of 1941, during the German invasion of the Soviet Union. The tanks were initially deployed to the Leningrad front, where they were used to help defend the city against the German siege. Despite their heavy armor, the KV-3 tanks were outmatched by the German Tiger and Panther tanks, and many were lost in the fierce fighting. The KV-3 was also used in the Battle of Moscow, where it played a key role in stopping the German advance on the city. The tanks were used to support Soviet infantry and hold off German tanks, and their heavy armor proved to be a formidable obstacle for the German forces. Despite their heavy armor, the KV-3 tanks were not without their flaws. They were slow and cumbersome, and their 76mm main gun was not powerful enough to penetrate the thick armor of the German Tiger and Panther tanks. Additionally, the tanks were plagued by mechanical issues and were often prone to breakdowns. After the war, the KV-3 tanks were phased out of service and replaced by newer, more modern tanks. Today, only a handful of KV-3 tanks survive, and they are highly sought after by military history enthusiasts and collectors. The Soviet Kliment Voroshilov KV-3 Heavy Tank in winter camouflage (1:72 Scale) is a representation of the tank as it appeared during the winter of 1941 to 1942. These tanks were painted with a white camouflage scheme to blend in with the snowy terrain and provide a tactical advantage.
