Printing paper refers to a kind of paper used for printing documents and copying documents. The specifications are A0, A1, A2, B1, B2, A4, A5, etc. The commonly used A4 paper is widely used in examination papers.
Sort by length and width
The specification of paper refers to that after the paper is made, it is trimmed and trimmed to a certain size. In the past, the paper size was represented by the number of "open" (such as 8 open or 16 open). China adopts international standards, which stipulate that A0, A1, A2, B1, B2, A4, A5 and other marks are used to represent the paper format. The standard specifies that the proportional relationship between width (represented by X) and length (represented by Y) of paper is X: Y=1: n.
According to the basic area of the paper format, the format is divided into A series, B series and C series. The format of A0 is 841mm × 1189mm, covering an area of 1m2; The size of B0 is 1000mm × 1414mm, covering an area of 2 ^ 0.5m2; The size of C0 is 917mm × 1279mm, covering an area of 2 ^ 0.25m2; The format specification of copy paper only adopts A series and B series. If A0 paper is split in half along the length, it becomes A1 specification; if A1 paper is split along the length direction, it becomes A2 specification, so it reaches A8 specification; B8 paper is also opened to B8 specification in this way. The sizes of A0~A8 and B0~B8 are listed in the following table. Among them, 7 formats, including A3, A4, A5, A6 and B4, B5, B6, are commonly used for copy paper.
For example, "A4" paper is to fold the paper of type A basic size four times, so the area of a piece of A4 paper is one fourth power of the basic paper area, that is, 1/16. The rest can be deduced by analogy.
There is also a kind of K-type paper, which is often called open type paper. Only in China can K-type paper be used. Generally, A-type paper is used. Regardless of type A and type B, the classification is the same. For example, A5 is twice as big as A6, A4 is twice as big as A5, A3 is twice as big as A4, B4 is twice as big as B5, B3 is twice as big as B4. Type K is classified as 2K by dividing a large 1K paper into two pieces, 4K by dividing a 2K paper into half, 8K by dividing a 4K paper into half, 16K by dividing a 16K paper into half, 32K by dividing a 16K paper into half, etc.
