DJI Ronin-m 3-axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer Ronin-M 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizerfrom DJI is a camera stabilization system designed to give the operator close to the freedom of unencumbered handheld shooting but without the hand-shake. Suitable for most camera types and configurations up to 8 pounds, the Ronin-M uses brushless motors that work on three axes: one for side-to-side "roll" - keeping the horizon level - one for tilt, and one for pan. The system is computer-controlled and features a tilt range of 105 & deg; up / 165 & deg; down plus a roll range of & plusmn;110 & deg;. Furthermore, the system boasts a precision of control of & plusmn;0.02 & deg;, enabling precise camera moves and stability correction against even very fine movements. In addition to handheld shooting, the gimbal can be used in vehicle mounting scenarios and other contexts where vibrations or other abrupt movements would make tripods and rigid camera support systems unsuitable. The Ronin-M supports dual-operator shooting, much like working with a jib that has a motorized pan/tilt head. In this mode, a second operator would use the included transmitter (radio controller) to manually control camera pan and tilt independently of which way the Ronin-M itself moves. Once balanced, you can configure the Ronin-M for your particular camera arrangement using the Assistant Software for compatible iOS and Windows (Desktop) devices with Bluetooth. Because every camera and lens combination has a different mass and weight distribution, there is an ATS (Auto Tune Stability) procedure in which each axis will adjust individually, repeating the process until all three are aligned. A gimbal tuning stand is provided so you won't have to hand-hold the rig during this process. The included 4S lithium-ion polymer battery powers the Ronin-M for up to six hours. It is a "smart" battery, meaning power regulation and protection circuitry is built-in and there is no separate balancing lead, unlike many lithium-polymer batteries. A charger is also included, and it is important to always use chargers designed for the Ronin-M battery because of the smart circuitry. Two 12V DC PowerTaps and one USB power port on the camera base allow you to power on-camera accessories directly from the Ronin-M battery to simplify your charging regime and avoid unnecessary added weight.

With the redesigned user interface, every setting is more intuitive and precise. The OLED screen also offers higher brightness than the LCD screen of RS 2 for better outdoor viewing with lower power consumption. Carbon Fiber Construction The RS 3 Pro arms are constructed from layered sheets of uncut carbon fiber, just like the Ronin 2. This makes it lighter and stronger than the jointed carbon fiber material used on RS 2, increasing stiffness and a lower weight to cope with even more demanding shooting environments. LiDAR Compatibility To make focusing easier for handheld shooting, Ronin 4D's LiDAR focusing technology is applied to RS 3 Pro. The new optional LiDAR Range Finder (RS) can project 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter area. Remote Control The High-Bright Remote Monitor can be used with Ronin 4D Hand Grips, DJI Master Wheels, or DJI Force Pro to control the gimbal and focus precisely. It is also equipped with a built-in gyroscopic sensor that can turn the remote monitor into a standalone motion controller for RS 3 Pro without additional accessories to achieve more complex camera movements from a moving vehicle or with a jib. Wireless Camera Control When RS 3 Pro is mounted on carriers like a jib, cable cam, or vehicle suction cup, Mirror Control mode unlocks seamless wireless control from anywhere on set. This mode allows direct control of the core menu operations for Sony mirrorless cameras via the remote monitor, all without having to detach your camera. Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging The new RS 3 Pro battery grip features a cartridge design, making it easier to swap batteries and smaller for storage compared with RSC 2. It can even be charged separately from the gimbal. The new battery grip provides an extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough for continuous shooting all day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charge time of just 2.5 hours. It can even be used while charging to keep RS 3 powered almost indefinitely. The Ronin-S represents a scalable ecosystem for integrating DSLR and mirrorless cameras into professional-grade workflows. The single-handed form factor of the Ronin-S supports up to 8 lb and runs up to 12 hours on a single charge of the included battery grip. Additionally, separate modules are available and sold separately for the handle and accessory docks, allowing you to customize the gimbal based on how you wish to operate it. Between the front trigger, the rear mode button, and the joystick, precise gimbal control lets you obtain the shots you require. The front trigger can lock the gimbal when held, re-center the gimbal when tapped twice, and engage the Selfie mode by turning 180 & deg; when tapped three times. Press the mode button to engage three customizable operation profiles, each with tuneable speed and response for different shooting scenarios. If fast-moving subjects are your forte, the Sport mode delivers extra-quick response times and fast gimbal movements, up to a maximum speed of 45 mph. With this operation flexibility, the Ronin-S will fit into documentary, event, and feature film workflows.
