Set up of the optical level in 6 steps:
1. Mount the tool on the tripod and center it over a point in the ground.
2. Align the optical level with the three leveling screws so that the air bubble is positioned in the center of the circular bubble vial.
3. Focus the telescope.
4. Target the goal with the collimator.
5. Turn the focusing knob for a sharp image.
6. Position with the horizontal drive.
