The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 is a professional add-on DJ controller for rekordbox DJ and Serato DJ Pro. Compared to its popular predecessor, the DDJ-XP1, the DJ controller offers more functions, has the same robust construction and is just as intuitive to use. With the 32 solid performance pads, the powerful pad modes, especially the transport mode, the slide FX touch strips and the sensitive control of key shift and key sync, you can get the most out of the features of both DJ programs.
Silent cue is also supported in Serato DJ Pro, allowing you to cue tracks silently with open faders on the mixer and trigger them immediately from hot cue points, just like with rekordbox dvs. Apart from that, 16 pads can now be used instead of 8 to control a single mode in Serato DJ Pro. The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-XP2 offers access to Serato DJ Pro's new pad modes, which provide 16 pads per deck. The modes allow you to assign eight pads to two different functions, such as hot cue mode and sampler mode. This allows you to trigger hot cues and samples at the same time without having to switch modes. Thanks to the other new modes, the creative possibilities are expanded by powerful features such as Pitch Play, with which you can now trigger cue points in twice as many semitones (this requires the separately available Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack).
Support for new transport mode in rekordbox dj
The transport mode known from Serato DJ Pro is now also included in rekordbox dj. This allows you to use the DDJ XP2 pads as transport controls for the music. In addition to play, pause, cue, Pitch up/down tracks and more are also available.
Support for new Silent Cue in Serato DJ Pro
With Silent-Cue, User from rekordbox dvs (license included) or Serato DJ Pro can mute the deck. This makes it possible to cue tracks inaudibly with open faders on the mixer and without having to move the faders, and to integrate them immediately into Mix by pressing Hot-Cue. This is also very practical when performing with turntables and rekordbox dvs or Serato DVS (expansion pack available separately), as it suppresses the typical sound when a turntable is started up.

The pads are also highly customizable: Tweak pad sensitivity to your needs and playing style by choosing one of 4 different velocity curves with adjustable bias parameter. Pad pressure is assignable to Aftertouch, Pitch Bend or other MIDI CCs. And you can not only set a dedicated MIDI channel for each pad, you can even route the MIDI In note to a different MIDI note (eg. when playing a multi-sound plugin, and wanting to browse the sounds in that patch from one pad).
AURA & rsquo;s on-board Pad Repeat engine is directly accessible, offering a dedicated on/off button and settings menu. Use Repeat to create rolls or other percussive lines, that would be hard to play by hand. The repeat settings are highly customizable with realtime parameters for groove and speed control & ndash; all right under your fingertips on AURA & rsquo;s 8 potentiometers.
Looking for some instant Trap-style hihat lines? The first 6 RGB LED buttons right above the display switch repeat rates in realtime. Create truly dynamic rolls by using pad pressure to control velocity while changing the repeat rates with the LED buttons. Other parameters include Repeat Rate, Gate, Accent Interval, Accent Velocity Offset, Swing, Trigger Mode and Clock Source.
The on-board hardware step sequencer is a great tool for creative beat composition. Press AURA & rsquo;s & lsquo;SEQ & rsquo; button and the 16 LED buttons below the pots become the much loved classic 16-step programming interface.
16 Collections of 16 patterns each provide plenty of room for your groove ideas. Each pattern (one per pad) has a total of up to 64 steps split across 4 parts.
AURA & rsquo;s sequencer is all about interaction and performance: Parts may be triggered in any combination at any time, so you can create new variations very intuitively. Each pattern, and even each part in a pattern, can have a different length & ndash; massively simplifying the creation of poly-rhythms.
Reassigning patterns to new sounds is also easy: As there is one pattern per pad, it is just a matter of adding a slot in Nektarine with a new plugin & ndash; and the new sound is playing for that pad and pattern. You don & rsquo;t even have to stop the sequencer to do this.
Realtime editing: Change the Play Rate, dial in a fixed Velocity and Accent Level Offset, set a Length for the events or add Swing for an extra-helping of groove. Many of these features go all the way down to step level. Last Step allows you to adjust the step length for each of a pattern & rsquo;s parts independently.
Power user features: Dive as deep as you like & ndash; many parameters can be edited with up to step level precision. Simply select the pattern, part and steps you want and change the values for one or multiple selections at the same time. Group editing of Velocity, Play Rate or Gate Length across 4 parts or patterns in groups of 8 patterns at the same time is also possible. A great way to check and edit values across multiple steps without having to select them first.
Synchronization: Internal and external clock modes ensure perfect sync with the outside world. AURA and the sequencer may also be used stand-alone with external MIDI instruments connected directly to the MIDI Out jack.

The Alesis CompactKit 7 is a tabletop electronic drum kit with seven velocity-sensitive drum pads that deliver realistic drum sound with the feel and response of real drums. It also comes with two pedals for hi-hat and kick drum, so you & rsquo;ll really feel as if you & rsquo;re sitting down at an actual set. There are 100 & rsquo;s of built-in percussion voices, preset drum kits and play-along songs, so you can get started right away with your own customized sound.
The 3-digit LED display shows the status of all your operational settings and separate LEDs light up in response to which pad is being struck, giving you instant visual feedback. The self-recording function records you as you play and retains the recording even after you turn the unit off. Want to expand your sound potential? The Alesis Surge special edition kit features all mesh drum heads. Constructed from woven mesh, these drum heads allow for a natural playing response, as well as offering quiet playing qualities. A main positive of this kit is the large 10 & rsquo; & rsquo; snare pad, providing a close to realistic playing surface area. This kit also comes with three dual zones 8 & rsquo; & rsquo; tom pads and an 8 & rsquo; & rsquo; mesh kick pad. This reasonably sized kick drum pad is perfect for use with both single and double pedals. This kit also features a 10 & rsquo; & rsquo; hi-hat, 10 & rsquo; & rsquo; crash, and a 10 & rsquo; & rsquo; ride with muting features. One of the main contributors to the robust qualities of this kit is the four-post powder-coated rack. This rack absorbs any playing force applied to the kit, maintaining a stable hold throughout use. Whilst the drum rack also easily folds down and adjusts for easy transportation, storage, and application.

The module is incredibly easy to navigate thanks to the backlit LCD screen, allowing an easy transition between kits and features. The module also features a range of buttons set out in the form of a traditional drum kit. This makes assigning voices to kits quick and efficient. This impressive module also has various features to improve your playing ability, including 60 play-along tracks, which allow you to practice playing in a band setting and a built-in aux input enabling you to connect your phone or tablet and play along to your songs. Furthermore the included metronome lets you enhance your timekeeping abilities. A clever learning feature within the Surge module is a performance recorder, allowing you to record your playing and track your progress.

Incredibly easy to use, these plugins and sounds can be attained by connecting your Alesis kit to a PC or a mac through USB. From here, once you open the BFD player, your drum kit will sync to this software and allow you to explore the sounds and samples the BFD player has to offer.
