A dipping tape is a manual user-operated liquid level measurement device, which consists normally of some form of calibrated tape, for example, meters, feet, yards, with a weight attached to the end.
The weight is lowered into the tank inside a until the operator feels the weight touch the bottom of the tank, at which point the grading on the tape is read. The tape is then retracted whilst the operator sees where the tape is wet. The grading on the tape is then noted again.
The dipstick is suitable for measuring the depth (solid height) of oil products in oil tanks, storage tanks and other containers or for measuring the depth of the water level at the bottom of the container.
The stainless steel dipstick has the advantages of easy operation, small error, and acid and alkali corrosion resistance.
When measuring the water level at the bottom of the container with a dipstick, you can apply a thin layer of water test paste on the thallium of the dipstick.
When the thallium of the dipstick touches the pallet at the bottom of the oil tank, stay for 10-15 seconds, then slowly The dipstick can be read out to record the height of the bottom water level.
When measuring the height of the oil level in the container with a dipstick, a thin layer of test grease can be applied to the dipstick.
After contacting the oil surface (to stay for 20-30 seconds), the reading can be used to calculate the height of the oil.
