5X24 FINDER SCOPE
Sine a telesope has a narrow field of view by design, it an be hallenging to LOCATE A PARTICULAR STAR or PLANET. For reason the telesope is fitted with a low-power, wide-field miniature telesope alled a finder sope.
WHICH MAGNIFICATION?- SELECTING THE CORRECT EYEPIECE Magnifation=Foal Length/Eyepiee
Note
Objet in the finder sope are upside down. This is normal and is ommon to all astronomial telesopes.
A lower magnifiation should be used for the observation of the stars. This provides a wider field of view and simplifies aiming the telesope at the desired objet.
The maximum magnifiation should be used only for partiularly lear objets suh as the moon, whih is relatively lose to the Earth and very bright, permitting good resolution of details at high magnifiation.
Always start viewing with your 25mm eyepiee. This is your low power eyepiee and its wide viewing field will make it easier to loate objets. One you have loated an objet and the view is lear you may wish to hange to the high power eyepiee.
