Midas DP48 Dual 48 Channel Personal Monitor Mixer The Midas DP48 is a dual 48 channel personal monitor mixer that allows 2 performers to fully control their monitor mixes and hear exactly what they want and even record and playback rehearsals and performances. With a simple and intuitive interface and the ability to connect to any AES50-equipped device, the DP48 can create a complete monitoring system perfect for use in the studio or on stage. The DP48 gives performers complete control over their monitor mix with 12 stereo groups for quickly creating and balancing mixes. All 48 channels of the DP48 can be mixed within these 12 groups and can handle any kind of monitor set up. Vocalists, for example can place the vocal channel in Group 1 while the drums, bass and guitar channels can be placed in Groups 2,3 and 4 respectively. Drummers who may be more particular can create more complex mixes with the DP48; separately mix their kick, snare and hi hat in Groups 1-3 with the two overhead mics panned left and right in Group 4. The dual mix feature even allows two users to be connected to one DP48 each with their own separate stereo group mix. There are three dedicated controls for each of the Mix A and B outputs, providing independent adjustments for the respective Output Volume, the selected Group Level and for the assignable My Group Level. Both Main Mixes feature separate EQ, Reverb Level and Limiter settings & mdash;especially useful when both talents are using different in-ear or over-ear headphones. Each and every channel on the DP48 can be mixed within the groups, enabling you to create tailored mixes for any situation. Dual mix capabilities Need more than one mix from your DP48? No problem. Two people can connect to a single DP48, and each can have their own dedicated stereo group mix. The outputs for Mix A and Mix B each feature the three controls for adjusting the Output Volume, selected Group Level, and My Group Level. You can also take advantage of separate EQ, Reverb Level, and Limiter settings for each main mix. Flexible and intuitive It's easy to make your mixes your own. Each of the D48's groups boasts a dedicated 3-band EQ, compressor, and reverb. All of which can be adjusted with ease using a single control knob. All you have to do is press a button, and you can change the parameter using the SELECT/EDIT knob. You can boost or attenuate lows, mids, and highs, whilst the compressor setting lets you tame dynamics whilst controlling the peak limiting threshold for Mix A or Mix B. You can add atmosphere and spatial ambience with the built-in studio-quality reverb, which is applied independently from the main console. Plus, a handy Pan button lets you adjust the stereo field of your selected group with ease. Intelligent integrated features The DP48 is more than just a monitor mixer. With a built-in SD card slot, you can easily record rehearsals or performances directly from your DP48. You can then play these recorded mixes back to either Mix A or Mix B. When recording, you can take advantage of the mix-minus function, which allows you to remove respective My Group signals to use as a backing track when practising. Plus, you can even store your favourite mixing presets to the SD card and load them up quickly and easily if you happen to be using a different DP48. But that's not all. The DP48 takes away the feeling of isolation that IEMs can often leave you with. A handy built in ambience microphone lets you hear more of the room and stage around you, so you can communicate with other performers or your audience with ease. There's even an automatic ducking function that reduces the level of the mic when you're playing, so you can keep your mix clear for hassle-free monitoring. AES50 connectivity Power your DP48 over ethernet. With a direct AES50 connection to a device such as the Midas HUB4, you can run your DP48 without the need for an external power supply. Most 44.1/48kHz AES50 devices will work, including Midas and Behringer digital consoles and I/O boxes (Power over Ethernet functionality on other device required). There are also AES50 return channels. These allow you to send your personal mixes from your DP48 back to your console or hub, allowing you to connect to wireless IEM transmitters. Plus, input channel labelling and colour information can be transferred to your mixer via AES50. What's more, when connecting to a Midas hub, setup and control can be done remotely from your mixer.
